Richard Raskin – Each picture in this exhibition contains a photo I have taken of a seashell and something I have painted, and it is the interplay of those two things that I hope the viewer will find interesting, as well as the sheer beauty of the seashells. Some degree of humour runs through these pictures, a few of which are meant as jokes. The seashells and the painted forms have all been reworked in Photoshop, which means there are no “originals” – only computer print-outs. And this is also why the prices for copies are so modest. I have had no training as an artist but have been painting since early childhood. In my previous exhibitions at Galleri Gallo, paintings, drawings and etchings were on display. The present exhibition differs radically from the earlier ones.
Eva Gyberg Jørgensen – En såret ulvindes angst. Det er titlen på et af mine billeder, og jeg synes også, at det er en passende titel på denne udstilling, hvor jeg viser noget om, hvordan jeg med hjælp fra papiret, farverne og meget andet kan gå ind i en kreativ proces, og på den måde komme overens med angst og depression. Depression – en ensom vej – en snoet sti – på tværs – hen ad – ind over – ET STORT – MØRKT – KOLDT – og – ØDE LANDSKAB.
